Lush
The Lush series (2007) was developed after I was approached by Venture Taranaki to create a large painting of Pukekura Park to grace Sir Elton John’s dressing room for his Bowl of Brooklands concert.
The Park is well known for being one of the highlights of the Taranaki Rhododendron Festival. I subsequently spent a number of days walking amongst the flowering rhododendrons and azaleas with my camera, with the resulting painting being Lush – Pukekura Park. Taranaki is home to many gardens of national acclaim which provide the settings for these large works.
The Lush series is painted to commission only, please contact me if you are interested in commissioning a work from this series.
