In this new series the opulent nature and sculptural texture of impasto paint takes centre stage. Strongly influenced by botanical references, the Opulence series explores Floriography - the language of Flowers. Floriography dictionaries, published during the Victorian era assigned meanings to flowers and plants in order to send secret floral messages. The Opulence series continues this narrative by exploring our own floral associations and the importance of the botanical motif in our lives and homes. More information on this series can be found On Art and Aesthetics.
The Opulence series is at home in both modern and traditional architectural settings.
